In the month of December 2020, the Dubai Leadership Conference an initiative of MasterMinds Business School, London, UK, designed for leaders, entrepreneurs, and directors in various walks of life took place at the prestigious Rose Rayhaan By Rotana, Dubai (one of the world’s tallest hotels).
Despite the global Covid-19 pandemic, Delegates from 11 countries traveled from across the world to be impacted with wisdom, knowledge, and information for leadership.
The conference took off on a high note as Dr. Jonathan Kamphuis, a faculty member of the MasterMinds Business School warmly welcomed delegates to the auspicious conference, urging them to participate actively during the conference.
We believe leadership development is about more than just learning; it’s about cultivating a culture of and commitment to excellence. This year’s Dubai Leadership Conference connected attendees to a phenomenal line-up of experts who lead by example — making each of us and our community better.
The session was started with a relaxation exercise which helped calm the nerves of delegates to enable them relax to participate actively. He delved into leadership styles, approaches and models. These were followed by series of classroom discussions, insights and activities. The nexus between leadership and management, Transformational leadership and sustainability were also expounded. The days that followed saw an outburst of electrifying sessions and class activities.
Building strong relationships is key to long term success. We believe the best relationships are built by spending time together, by learning together and by sharing common experiences. We saw that in action at the 2020 Dubai Leadership Conference — hallway conversations to exchange ideas, vulnerabilities shared during small-group discussions, advice and encouragement swapped over lunch. Beyond the education we all took away from the conference, it was the organic conversation and collaboration that will stick with us — and perhaps strengthen us — most.
The amount of positive energy buzzing through the breakout rooms and hallways during the Dubai Leadership Conference would keep the lights on for an entire decade if we could bottle it up and use it to pay our electricity bill. But don’t just take it from us …
As part of the activity for the conference, delegates had the privilege of taking in the sights of the wonderful city of Dubai during this summit. Delegates visited the best tourist attractions in Dubai. A life-changing experience all geared towards knowledge transfer.
Among the sites visited includes the many Dubai attractions, including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach, Museum, gold and spice souks, Palm Jumeirah. With these tours, delegates immerse themselves into the culture and heritage of this vibrant city.
The 2020 Dubai Leadership Conference was wrapped-up with a recognition through a grand finale Award of Leadership excellence for outstanding public and private sector leaders, who have laid down the primus/development route for world emancipation.We cerebrated leadership excellence in diverse sectors-public/private sectors that have contributed immensely to industry/national development and in service to humanity.
Upon completion of the conference, delegates earned an Executive MBA certificate in Leadership and Management from MasterMinds Business School, United Kingdom. There was also an investiture into the Masterminds Fellows Forum for all participating delegates.
Delegates were also exposed to series of Dubai investments opportunities in diverse sectors and an opportunity to meet with the great minds that created Dubai, one of the greatest cities on earth.
In summary, The 2020 Dubai Leadership Conference was packed with diverse segments and activities all designed for delegates enjoyment. Aside the electrifying class session, there was Dubai city tours, Dubai investments opportunities, graduation ceremony with MBS fellowship induction and awards.
